Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies
Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) is an international peer-reviewed semi-annual journal addressing the development of business and economics.
Historically, JABES was named as Journal of Economic Development (JED) from 1994 to 2017 and was published by University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City as a monthly issue for Vietnamese version (from 1994) and a quarterly issue for the English version (from July 2012) with assigned code ISSN 1859-1116. From Jan/1/2018, JED’s name was changed to JABES with the monthly issue for Vietnamese version and semi-annual issue for the English version. More importantly, JABES’s English version will be published on Emerald system from 2018.
JABES seeks to explore ways of improving the sustainability of business and economics by examining potential solutions to business and economic issues under both theoretical and empirical aspects with the recognition of ‘sustainable development’ as a process of change involving nations, economies, political alliances, institutions, groups, firms, and individuals into long-term benefits. JABES welcomes papers covering global, regional, national, or even local topics of business and economic development that are of wider policy significance, and of interest to international agencies, governments, public and private sector entities, local communities, non-governmental organizations, and businesses. Policy prescriptions are required to be supported by rigorous analysis and appraisal.
